We are thrilled to host you as Ananda Marga Asheville, a regional chapter of an international yoga community dedicated to service to humanity and self realization. We host wellness workshops and retreats, meditation training, and cultural programs including talks on spirituality, creativity, alternative economics, and social change.

Ricky Peterson
Ricky Peterson has been practicing yoga asanas and meditation for over two decades. He is a recent father, husband and CEO/President of the Neohumanist College of Asheville. He is passionate about education, service and being involved with his local community.

Kristine Kaoverii Weber
Kristine Kaoverii Weber, MA, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT is a certified yoga therapist with decades of experience teaching yoga, and training both yoga teachers and health care providers. She teaches trainings and workshops online and directs the Subtle® Yoga Teacher Training for Behavioral Health Professionals at UNC Health Sciences. Find out more: www.subtleyoga.com.

Wilder Nicholson
Wilder Nicholson is a documentary film director and activist based in Marshall, North Carolina, Aniyunwiya of the Cherokee. He has produced documentary stories for non-profits and cooperatives locally and internationally, and enjoys working with farms and local food systems. Wilder is a certified RYT-200 yoga teacher and holds a permaculture design certificate.

Rachel Maietta
Rachel Maietta is the director and co-founder of Mountain Breeze Preschool, and is an education instructor at the Neohumanist College of Asheville. She has been doing yoga and meditation for 21 years, and tries to bring the love and inspiration she feels into the classroom as well as outside of it. She has traveled to many countries and lived in many places until she found the calm beauty of Marshall, NC, in 2012.

Dada Maheshvarananda
Born 1953 in Philadelphia, USA, during college he was active in the protests against the Vietnam War. He has taught meditation and organized for social justice for 14 years in Southeast Asia, three years in Europe and 21 years in Brazil and Venezuela. He is now the president and director of the Prout Research Institute in Asheville, North Carolina.

Howard Nemon
He is the Co-Founder and Director of the Prama Institute & Wellness Center, a holistic conference and retreat center located in Marshall, NC (USA). Howard received his PhD in Social Welfare from the University of Pennsylvania and has taught community practice and international sustainable development at George Mason University and Warren Wilson College.
